Work through the checks before changing your server artifacts.

A planning checklist, not an automatic updater. Progress lasts until you reload this page.

Choose the right buildMatch your platform, branch and operating system. Read the reports for the target build; popularity and a clean report list do not prove compatibility.
Prepare a recoverable backupKeep the current artifacts, server configuration, resources, txAdmin data and a consistent database backup. Check that you can restore them.
Test away from productionUse an isolated staging instance with a separate database and credentials. Check resource requirements, startup logs, joining, voice and critical gameplay.
Plan the maintenance windowTell your players, stop the server cleanly and take a final backup. Keep the known-working build ready for rollback.
Install the intended artifactsUse the official listing for your operating system and your host’s update process. Keep artifacts separate from server data; preserve configuration, resources and txAdmin data.
Verify before reopeningConfirm the running version, review logs and test a real connection. If something fails, stop and follow the rollback plan; restore data only when needed and account for changes since the backup.
